The dawn of tri-shield 12G coax has arrived with the new Laird 4713R-B-B series BNC cables. If you need a long distance, wide-band riser rated cable for 4K Single-link 12G, 4K D-Cinema or 8K Quad-link look no further. RG11 coax offers less attenuation or signal at longer distances compared to all other coax so it has long been the standard used in stadium and large venues installs for sports video and live event applications. These heavy duty Laird cables are assembled with 14AWG Belden 4713 coax featuring a silver-plated copper conductor and tri-shield to deliver the best signal transmission distance. When the action calls for a heavy duty, long distance 12G coax run, the Laird 4713R-B-B series is your best choice!
12G-SDI Maximum Distance
Laird Certifies this cable to work at a Max Transmission Distance of 250 Feet for 12G-SDI even though Belden may show this distance as 383 Feet. To meet the Laird max transmission standard, signal integrity must remain 100% functional without any CRC errors. Your 12G-SDI ST 2082 signals may function at or beyond the manufacturer-certified lengths without issues; however, when CRC errors are present there could be drops in audio, video, meta, and ancillary data. In most circumstances, video integrity remains intact at OEM distance.
