MA80FT - Overview

The Cloud Electronics MA80FT is a Mini Amplifier providing 80W Mono Output at eiither 4Ω (low impedance) or 70/100v line which is switchable via rear Dip switches. It is fitted with a paging Microphone input with access contacts, a useful 70/100v line input a futher two line inputs and Facility Port input allowing connection of the LM-2 Input Module Wall Plates and the BT-1F Bluetooth Audio Wireless Input Module.

Designed for integration into commercial audio installations and AV systems where decentralisation of the system component is an advantage. It is intended as an "install and forget" component and is small enough to be fitted into a wall or ceiling void, or directly adjacent to a projector, flat screen or loudspeaker.

The MA80FT can drive low-impedance speakers down to a minimum total impedance of 4 ohms, or 100/70/25 V-line loudspeaker systems via the internally fi tted output transformer. The output power is 80 W in either case. The power amplifi er stage is fully protected against DC offset and over-current, and is also thermally protected. A switch-on delay function mutes the output during power-up and power-down to protect loudspeakers.

The MA80 is powered internally via 100-240V SMPS.
