MIL-DTL-83526 standard expanded beam fiber cables are increasingly popular in stage and production environments due to their exceptional durability and resilience against dust, dirt, liquids, and other contaminants that can compromise the performance of standard tactical cables. These ruggedized assemblies are now widely used in applications such as video extension systems, lighting rigs, Ethernet networks, and sound systems, where reliability in challenging conditions is essential.

To meet the needs of demanding production professionals, Camplex has developed the FIBERFOX XBG04M Series - a line of 4-Channel OM3 Multimode cables designed for studios and production suites. These assemblies feature Neutrik’s FIBERFOX EBC25 4-fiber expanded beam hermaphroditic connectors with a jam-nut design also suitable for all kinds of industrial, defense & governmental and even railway applications. The innovative design ensures its ability for deployment in the toughest environments where constant performance and total reliability are critical. Cables fully comply with the specifications of the MIL-DTL-83526 standard and is compatible with other cables and panel mount connectors using this standard.

At the heart of the FIBERFOX EBC is its lens system which always ensures reliable system functionality even in harsh environmental conditions like rain, cold, heat, dust, mud or below water. This is a welcome change to traditional fiber systems where environmental challenges can often inhibit signal transmission. FIBERFOX EBC connectors comply with IP68 (connected or disconnected) and can be cleaned easily and quickly by using clear water and a lint-free cloth only. Detailed measurements or the use of special cleaning tools are not necessary!
