The JVC VSR-420 expands upon the HDR recording and monitoring capabilities of the Atomos Shogun by integrating the Sports Video Interoperability Group's Exchange Format 1080p/720p, sports metadata for Catapult and DVSport coaching software, and cloud connectivity via its multiple wireless interfaces, boosting the sports production versatility of JVC and other professional camcorders.
The video recorder has a 7" 1920x1200 touchscreen display with a brightness of 2000 cd/m², a loop-through 12G-SDI I/O, and supports SDI RAW recording. Both the HDMI and 12G-SDI connections can record, monitor, and transmit 4K video with ease. Record and store your footage using the SATA 3 SSD slot compatible with Master Caddy II/III and AtomX SSD mini (storage media not included). Power for the VSR-420A can be achieved via the locking DC jack or with the included L- series battery.
The integrated combination of JVC, Catapult, and DVSport technologies enables sports organizations to add game play metadata with recordings from various camera angles all synchronized with a single UTC time signal thus significantly reducing the time uploading practice and game footage.
Clip Continuous Recording
Catapult and DVSport are the leading providers of digital coaching technology.
The This function enables you to store a number of shots together as a single clip file. Instead of having to manage enormous amounts of files, or browsing through dozens of separate files just to gather up the scene you need, you can use pre-grouped clips for easier transfer and editing.
Exchange Format
The Sports Video Interoperability Group made "Exchange Format 1080p/720p" that allows video and metadata to be used across different applications.
