The Fourth Dimension!
In addition to Height, Width and Depth there is another dimension that you should consider when purchasing equipment cases, The Diagonal Length! Keep in mind that the diagonal length (lower right hand corner to the upper left hand corner and vice versa) exceeds the width and height. It's a "math" thing but the diagonal length of this case is approximately 25 inches based on any online rectangle calculator. Any number of shotgun mics up to 24 inches in length can easily fit anto this case with with plently of room to spare for accesories as well. A Sennheiser ME67 with a K6 power module attached is a little over 21 inches so a case of this size will easily accomodate that mic and module setup without ever having to break it down allowing for super fast accessibility. You could even have an XLR cable attached to the mic and not have to worry about room!
Something to ponder when buying any equipment case.
