The VBPC-200 200W Vehicle Battery Power Converter is a small, lightweight, economic unit that converts the vehicle's 12V battery output to 300V DC, and is designed for powering equipment employing switched-mode conversion (where no mains transformer is used).
The unit provides a powerful 200W continuous output and allows short term use up to 250W (up to 5 minutes). The power is sufficient to run PAG battery chargers and the integral chargers of all Pagbelts.
The unit is fitted with a lead terminated with a standard IEC plug, for connection to the charger, and a lead terminated with a connector suitable for a vehicle's cigar lighter socket. An amber LED indicates connection to the vehicle battery. To turn the unit off, simply disconnect it from the cigarette lighter socket (the vehicle cigarette lighter socket and wiring harness must be capable of carrying a minimum current of 20 amps).
The unit incorporates an audible warning system which operates when the vehicle battery needs to be boosted by starting the vehicle's engine. However, if the vehicle's engine is not started and the battery voltage continues to fall, the unit will switch-off (latch-out), leaving enough power to start the vehicle. Unplugging the unit will reset the latch. Then after boosting the vehicle battery, reconnect the unit.
The VBPC-200 is suitable for use with the following PAG chargers: PAGlink PL16 charger, RMC4X rack-mountable chargers, AR Series 2, Freelancer, Quasar, Pulsar, 12V AR Series, MC124 and the Pagbelt integral charger.
The VBPC is not suitable for PAG Cube Chargers: 9702, 9702V and 9708.
