The Patton SN5702/EUI is a 5700 series SmartNode LTE/GSM VoIP Gateway plus SBC with 2 VoLTE ports capable of Two (2) SIP-SIP calls (SIP b2b UA) and is upgradeable (max. 128). It comes with 2x Antenna Dual NIC and external UI power (100-240 VAC).
The SN5700 Series is a VoLTE Gateway, VoIP Gateway, Session Border Controller and Survivability appliance that delivers reliable, secure, and agile voice connectivity.
The device enables internetworking and interoperability of VoIP/SIP with LTE mobile voice+SMS, as well as PSTN Trunks and legacy End Points. The wireless interfaces are backward compatible with 2G (GSM) and 3G (UMTS) connections. The unit can be ordered with or without telephony ports and can support various densities and mixes of Analog FXS, FXO, ISDN T1/E1 and ISDN BRI.
As a SIP Session Boarder Controller the SN5700 offers SIP compatibility between various IP PBX systems, SIP trunks and end points. Transcoding ensures conversion of TCP to UDP, RTP to SRTP and adaptation between different voice codecs. The device supports up to 128 simultaneous SIP-to-SIP B2BUA sessions and up to 32 transcoded sessions.
SIP communication is secured by separating internal and external SIP network domains, topology hiding, SIP-DDoS Detection & Protection, Firewall Access Control List (ACLs) and SIP Header Manipulation.
Survivability is supported with either LTE Failover or PSTN Trunk Failover or both. SIP calls are automatically switched over to LTE and/or the PSTN in the event of a network, IP or Cloud outage.
Because local SIP calls can be directly routed over LTE, SIP systems can be deployed in locations where there is no Broadband or Internet connectivity. A local VoIP/SIP or legacy telephony system can be deployed anywhere you can get a cell phone signal.
The SN5700 can be used for very cost-effective POTS Replacement since it can deliver local POTS connections and dial tone using any mobile voice service for PSTN connectivity.
Applications
The SN5700 can be used in a wide variety of applications including delivering Plain Old Telephone Services by delivering traditional trunks (Analog, BRI or T1/E1) over GSM or LTE voice calling. The eSBC functionality enables Fixed-To-Mobile convergence by enabling transport of SIP traffic over GSM or LTE, which can be used as a primary line or a failover trunk
