SSH-6E - Overview

More Than Stereo
The ZOOM SSH-6e is a mid-side shotgun microphone which captures direct sound and ambience in fine detail. With precise control over the stereo image, you can record hyper directional audio and mix in only the environmental sounds you want.

Midside Arrangement
Mid-side is an advanced technique that allows you to adjust the stereo width of your recording. The Mid mic picks up direct sound and the side mic picks up a super wide stereo image. Adjust for your perfect mix. You can even record in RAW allowing you to adjust the stereo width after recording.

Capsule System 3.0
The SSH-6e utilizes Zoom's Capsule System 3.0. This new connector provides a stable connection and allows for 32-bit float recording.

    • Input gain adjustment is unnecessary with a recorder that supports 32-bit float format
    • The stereo width of the sound can be changed by adjusting the recorder side level (side mic level)
