With the capacity to convert between 10/100/1000BASE-T and 100/1000BASE-X networks, ClearLinks CGU-00101S media converter offers the versatility of 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet media via RJ45 port together with extremely steady gigabit fiber performance. The device determines and configures the fastest connection speed and mode automatically and supports MDI/MDIX auto detection. Interchangeable SFP modules allow media converters to work in single- and multi-mode networks (transmission over two or one fiber). The method is especially cost-effective when considering future plans for network expansion because it only needs to change the SFP modules.
