The Osprey Talon 4K-SCD is a Talon Desktop Decoder, 4K60 12G-SDI/HDMI that converts up to DCI 4K60 video for streaming and archiving. It supports an input of up to 4096 x 2160p60 video with the HDMI 2.0 or 12G-SDI input, and outputs using USB 3.1 Gen 1, NVME, or network storage for archiving. You also get a 12G-SDI loop output for previewing your video with simultaneous streaming of your video while archiving the stream to a hardware or network drive.
It supports up to10-bit 4:2:2 color depth, deinterlacing, upscale and downscale, frame rate conversion, H.265/HEVC and H.264/MPEG-4/AVC encoding, eight channels of AAC-LC audio via HDMI, and sixteen channels of AAC-LC audio via SDI. You can stream video via its Gigabit Ethernet port using a variety of protocols such as RTMP, RTSP, RTP, and UDP, and it supports a variety of CDN integrations. You can save to MP4 and TS files via the USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A output, via the Ethernet port, and it supports NVME archiving using a separately available drive.
The decoder also supports SRT secure reliable transport protocol with multiple security features, remote firmware upgrade, embedded closed captioning, a JSON REST API, and password protection. A status display shows the current settings of the unit, and status LEDs indicate active ports. It features a fanless design and has a locking power jack.
