The C2-2855 Universal Scaler Plus is first in a new generation of high performance scalers that provides best-in-class video scaling and format conversion along with revolutionary, intuitive user interface tools. This new design has more input/output flexibility than any other previous tvONE scaler, and it can be set up in less than 1/3 the time of the previous generation. The unit can be managed from the front panel with its new, crystal clear OLED display and color-modulated, backlit buttons or by IP via computer-based control panel. An RS232 serial interface is also provided for use with 3rd party control systems.
Living up to its designation as a "Universal Scaler" the C2-2855 supports SD/HD/3G-SDI, HDMI, DVI, Composite Video, YC, YUV, YPbPr or RGB, on both inputs and outputs. In addition to extremely high quality scaling and conversion, the C2-2855 also provides powerful Picture-in-picture, keying and logo insertion featuress . It stores up to 5 still images and 5 logos for layering in the output video. Twelve user-defined presets are readily available for instant, on-the-fly adjustment for diverse customized applications.
Advanced audio architecture provides integrated 4x1 audio switching. The four impedance-independent unbalanced inputs follow the video selection. A rear panel terminal block and a 3.5mm jack-socket provides versatile access. Embedded Audio Support allows any audio input to be embedded on the HDMI, DVI, and SDI outputs. The C2-2855 can also de-embed audio input from HDMI or SDI signals for routing to analog audio outputs.
The Auto-Switching function turns the C2-2855 into a powerful standalone device. Allowing the user to connect their source and have it automatically displayed on screen without having to press any buttons. The incoming resolution is quickly detected and analyzed meaning within a few seconds the user is up and running and ready to present. This is particularly useful in situations where there is little or no technical supervision such as in meeting rooms, medical environments, teaching spaces or live staging events.
