POD25 is a dual channel (stereo) analog audio silence detector. The unit provides tallies and an audible alarm when either signal is lost. Front panel screwdriver adjustment controls allow the user to set the delay and the threshold at which the alarms for detector 1 and 2 will be triggered. The delay adjustment sets the length of time that the signal can be below the threshold level before an alarm is triggered. The range of delay varies from 1 to 45 seconds. The threshold adjustment ranges from -50 dBu to -20 dBu.
Front panel LED tallies indicating signal presence (green) or alarm (red) are provided for each signal. An audible alarm that may be disabled by depressing the pushbutton switch is included. Each detector provides a pair of normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) GPI outputs on a rear panel screw terminal. The two pairs of normally open and normally closed outputs of detectors 1 and 2 are also provided as a set of OR'ed outputs to indicate that either the channel one or channel two signal has been lost. If a loss of signal is detected, the NO terminal will close while the NC terminal will open. Balanced audio inputs are on XLR3(F) connectors control outputs are on screw terminals located on the rear panel of the POD25.
