The Amino A129 is the next generation MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 Standard definition IPTV/OTT set-top box (STB) for standard deployments.
With the wide range of standards and features now available in IPTV, choosing the right STB can be challenging. If you need a basic, cost effective IPTV solution, then the Aminet A129 is the perfect answer. With straightforward network and A/V connectivity, the Aminet A129 provides a high level of performance to comfortably meet your SD deployment requirements. New OTT features include HTML5 audio and video tags to support the H.264 codec in .flv and .mp4 formats. Adaptive streaming technology is also available with HTTP live streaming support.
The Aminet A129 is complemented by an extensive range of set top box middleware, browsers, and conditional access and DRM options. All STB functions can be controlled from a browser using the Amino JMACX system.
Reduce the cost of AVC transition
The support of MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 standard definition does not render the STB obsolete when a network upgrades to deliver high definition content. The A129 is easily deployed on the same network, for use with secondary TVs in the home.
Compact and elegant
Despite its entry level position, it keeps the same classic compact and elegant Amino design, making it a stylish addition to any installation.
Extensive ecosystem support
The A129 is supported by an extensive ecosystem of middleware, browser, conditional access and DRM options required for the widely varying configurations of the IPTV market.
Comprehensive design tools and support
Amino software technology is based on open standards such as Linux and HTML. Application developers for the A129 benefit from the Amino JMACX system which enables full control of the STB functions from the browser. JMACX provides the service operator with a powerful set of HTML and JavaScript extensions which allow simple and highly effective user interface designs to be created or ported. For increased flexibility in creating custom applications ADKs and SDKs are also available.
Software updates and maintenance
The A129 holds a complete software image in on-board flash memory and is also designed to support secure bootstrap from a multicast server. At any time, a deployed A129 can be upgraded with a new software image via the secure multicast server. For security, software images can be signed with keys unique to each deployment.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING: The AMINET512-790 IR Keyboard is required for programming as there are no USB ports on the A129.
OPERA Software is included free and is already installed/loaded in the A129 Unit.
DO NOT try to update the firmware/Software in the management pages as this will wipe the OPERA software off the unit!
