The WILLIAMS AV FM T55 D Plus integrates professional WaveCAST Wi-Fi audio server technology into a Williams Sound FM assistive listening system. End users can now listen with either an FM receiver or with their own smartphone (via the WaveCAST Listening App). Along with this flexibility comes exceptional audio quality, as the FM Plus is built on a professional digital audio (DSP) platform. Added plus: Its optional Dante interface provides integrators with a full audio networking solution.
The new FM Plus is designed to support those who want to use their own smartphones and headphones for a more discreet assistive listening experience. Simplicity is also available for those who want a more traditional assistive listening system with a dedicated FM receiver and headset. Venues no longer need to choose between providing FM or Wi-Fi assistive listening systems. FM Plus supports both the new iOS and Android WaveCAST Apps -- in addition to all of the current and legacy Williams Sound FM receivers operating on the 72-76 MHz bandwidth.
The FM Plus Dante interface provides integrators with a full digital audio networking solution. It is based on the Audinate UXT Ultimo chipset. This chipset supports both AES67 and SMPTE 2110. Dante’s Ultimo UXT support of AES67 and SMPTE 2110 allows integrators multiple audio options to chose from for greater interoperability with other audio equipment with their system design. This allows the FM Plus Dante to be controlled by the Dante Controller -- the easy-to-use software from Audinate for setting up and managing audio routing of Dante-enabled products on an audio network.
The FM Plus can have most settings changed via the front panel interface, or the hosted web interface. A remote programming guide is available upon request.
Dante audio is compatable with this device.
Note: The FM + connects to the installation location's Wi-Fi Network. It does not provide a network on its own. The Wi-Fi network will need to be installed and established before the FM + can be used.
