Belden 179DT is a Riser-CMR, RG-179/U, Ultra-miniature, Super-Lightweight, Low Loss Serial Digital Video Coax. It features a 28.5 AWG solid bare copper conductor with a foam HDPE core, Duofoil, + 95% tinned copper braid in a PVC jacket. 179DT was designed for Broadcast Mobile Trucks but is also a great choice for any application where space is a concern.

This coax weighs 7.25 pounds per 1,000 feet - 60% less than standard Mini RG59/U type cables! It also features a highly crush-resistant, foamed high-density polyethylene (FHDPE) dielectric to help ensure the durability of the cable. That's a particularly important characteristic for use on television broadcast trucks.
