Combined XLR receptacle and phone jack. New attractive "front end" design (30% less protruding from panel than original). Saves racks space by combining 2 connectors in one housing. Full normalled. Stereo or mono version. Very low conducter capacitance, therefore suitable for Digital Audio.
Fully compatible to the predecessor Combo. Panel cut out compatible with Neutrik K-Series, Cannon XLB Series and PQG connectors. Fastening: Self-tapping PT(tm) screws with thread 2.9x1.06 and tri-rondular configuration.
A Note about the Neutrik Combo Series Connectors!
Neutrik has developed the first XLR / 1/4" jack hybrid panel mount connector combining a 3 pole XLR receptacle and mono or stereo 1/4" phone jack in one XLR housing. A space saving combination of 2 connectors in one plastic housing. Available in nonswitching and normalling versions with horizontal or vertical pcb mount or soldering termination.
Many Pro audio devices have two input connectors (balanced XLR and an unbalanced 1/4" jack). But in almost all cases only one input is used at a time. The Combo reduces panel space, costs and simplifies PCB (Printed Circuit Board) design. The abbrevations below show up in the part# and explain what type of connector it is.
Termination
V = vertical PCB (Printed Circuit Board) mount, straight pins.
H = horizontal PCB mount, angled pins.
S = Solder contacts.
PLEASE NOTE! "S" is the most widely used for standard cable soldering. The "V" and "H" are solder type connectors as well but the connections are designed for PCB use and are more suited for OEM use (manufacturing).
Locking mechanism
-0 = no latch, retention spring
no suffix = Latch lock
Grounding
Separate ground contact to mating connector shell and front panel, including switching ground version
Mounting
Rear panel mount
Panel fastening
Self-tapping PLASTITE screw with thread 2.9 x1.06 and of tri-rondular configuration (A-screw)
